1. How will instruction be held?

We offer a hybrid learning model, providing both in-person and online instruction. This ensures flexibility and accessibility for all participants, regardless of location or schedule.


2. Are your target students only kids?

Yes. At this time, FULLSTEPUP is focused exclusively on youth participants. As the program grows, we will evaluate opportunities to expand to additional age groups.


3. Are your students only from underprivileged families?

No. FULLSTEPUP serves any child who lacks access to musical resources, regardless of financial background. Our mission is to remove barriers and create equal opportunities for all aspiring young musicians.


4. Are you only offering guitars?

Currently, FULLSTEPUP provides instruction and instruments in:

  • Guitar (Acoustic & Electric)
  • Bass (Acoustic & Electric)
  • Ukulele (for younger participants)

5. Are scholarships only available to FULLSTEPUP participants?

No. Scholarships are not limited exclusively to FULLSTEPUP participants. However, individuals enrolled in the program will receive strong consideration.


6. How can students enroll or apply?

Students (or their guardians) can apply through our website by completing a registration form. Placement is based on program availability, and priority may be given based on need and capacity.


7. What happens if a student participant fails to Meet expectations?

FULLSTEPUP is committed to maintaining a positive, respectful, and focused learning environment. If a participant does not meet program expectations:

  • Step 1: A verbal reminder and guidance will be provided
  • Step 2: A formal discussion with the student and parent/guardian may be required
  • Step 3: Continued issues may result in temporary suspension from the program
  • Step 4: In serious or repeated cases, removal from the program may occur

Our goal is always to support growth and accountability, giving students every opportunity to succeed before further action is taken.


8. Can more than one student from the same family apply?

Yes. Multiple students from the same family are welcome to apply. Each participant will be evaluated individually based on program availability, interest, and commitment. Availability of instruments and instructional capacity may impact final placement.


9. What happens to instruments if a participant fails to meet expectations?

All instruments provided by FULLSTEPUP remain the property of the program. If a participant is suspended or removed:

  • The instrument must be returned promptly in good condition
  • Normal wear and tear is expected, but damage beyond that may require repair or replacement
  • Failure to return the instrument may result in fees or further action as outlined in the loan agreement

10. Do all participants take part in recitals?

Participation in recitals is strongly encouraged but not required. Recitals are designed to:

  • Build confidence
  • Celebrate progress
  • Provide performance experience

Students will only be encouraged to participate when they feel prepared and comfortable.


11. What happens to returned instruments?

Returned instruments are:

  • Inspected and evaluated for condition
  • Cleaned and serviced as needed
  • Reissued to future participants

This process ensures sustainability and allows FULLSTEPUP to continue serving more students over time.


12. How do you track student progress?

FULLSTEPUP tracks progress through a combination of:

  • Instructor evaluations and feedback
  • Skill-based milestone tracking
  • Lesson participation and attendance
  • Optional performance opportunities (recitals)
